But the memory of the ancesters has been impregnated into the walls for ever. One can breath the atmosphere a perturbing admixture of the warmest hospitality and the most severe respect towards the traditions.

Quanto è bello passeggiare sotto le stelle, nel cuore della Roma Vera. Quella dei romani… Vi portiamo a scoprire la storia e gli scorci più suggestivi dell ‘isola Tiberina e del Quartiere Ebraico. “La Piazza” come viene affettuosamente chiamato dalle persone che lo abitano è uno dei luoghi più vivaci e più veri della città. Il cupo ricordo di trecento anni di segregazione, circondati dalle mura di un vero e proprio ghetto è ormai il passato, fa parte della storia. Ma la memoria, degli antenati è rimasta impregnata dentro le pareti degli edifici, riaffiora tra i sanpietrini dei vicoletti…Si respira una sconvolgente miscella di un’atmosfera incomparabilmente accogliente, che nello stesso tempo ci impone un inevitabile rispetto verso le tradizioni, verso una cultura millenaria.
